HoopAI provides a built-in analytics view for forms and surveys that shows you how many people are viewing and completing your forms, how long completion takes on average, and — for surveys — exactly where respondents are dropping off. Use this data to identify friction points and improve completion rates over time.
Accessing analytics
- From the left navigation menu, go to Sites.
- Click the Forms tab at the top.
- Click the Analytics sub-tab (sometimes labeled Analyze).
The analytics view defaults to showing all forms over the past 30 days.
Filtering the data
Use the filters at the top of the analytics page to narrow the data:
Asset type
Choose between Forms, Surveys, or All to filter by the type of asset you want to analyze.
Asset
Select a specific form or survey to see data for that asset only. Leave set to “All” to see aggregate data across every asset.
Date range
Set a custom date range to compare performance over a specific period — for example, comparing the week a new form launched against the previous week.
Core metrics
Total views
The number of times the form page or embed was loaded by a visitor. If the same visitor loads the form three times, that counts as three views. Views represent awareness and traffic to the form — they tell you how many opportunities you had to capture a submission.
Responses
The number of completed submissions. A submission is counted when the contact clicks the submit button and the form is successfully processed. Partial completions that were not submitted are not counted as responses in the core metrics, though drop-off data helps surface them.
Completion rate
The percentage of views that resulted in a submission: (responses / views) × 100. The analytics page shows a comparison to the previous period so you can immediately see whether your completion rate is trending up or down.
A low completion rate typically indicates one of the following:
- The form is too long or asks for too much information too early
- There is a field or question causing confusion or hesitation
- The form is being shown to the wrong audience
- There is a technical issue preventing submission
Average completion time
The mean time from when a visitor first interacts with the form to when they submit it. A very long average time may indicate complex or confusing fields. A very short time (under ten seconds for a multi-field form) may indicate bot submissions.
Slide-level drop-off for surveys
When you select a specific survey in the asset filter, the analytics view adds a slide-by-slide breakdown:
Views per slide
The number of respondents who reached each slide. You will typically see a declining number as you go further into the survey — some drop-off is normal.
Drop-off count and percentage
For each slide, HoopAI shows how many respondents left the survey at that point and what percentage of the total that represents. The drop-off is calculated as the difference in viewers between consecutive slides.
Use drop-off data to pinpoint problem slides. A slide with an unusually high drop-off rate is a strong signal to review the question wording, reduce the number of required fields on that slide, or reconsider whether that information is truly necessary.
Submission data
For a detailed view of individual submissions, go to Sites > Forms > Submissions. The submissions tab is separate from the analytics tab and shows each submission as a row with all submitted field values. See Importing and managing submissions for full details on filtering, exporting, and working with submission records.
Check your analytics at least once after launching a new form to establish a baseline completion rate. Then check again after making any significant changes to the form — adding or removing fields, changing the progress bar, or adjusting the copy. This before-and-after comparison is the fastest way to know whether a change improved or hurt performance.
